Probate Administration

A loved one passed without a trust. We can help assess the proper probate venue.

Probate venue generally follows the county where the decedent resided, or the California county where a nonresident owned property. LAESQUIRE focuses its probate representation on Los Angeles County and helps with filings, notices, inventory, accounting, and distribution.

Common Questions

Estate Planning FAQ

Based in Chatsworth and serving estate-planning clients throughout California through secure remote consultation and drafting.

How does the online intake process work?

Select your plan, fill out the secure intake worksheet online (15–30 minutes), and pay your 50% deposit. Shekhar reviews your worksheet, meets with you by phone or Zoom, and sends customized drafts for electronic review. Original documents are mailed or otherwise coordinated, and Shekhar explains the signing method required for each document.

Do I need to come in to start?

No office visit is required for intake, consultation, or draft review. Those steps can be handled through secure online intake, phone or Zoom, and electronic draft review throughout California. Original documents and any required signing are mailed or coordinated based on the document and your circumstances; not every document can be electronically signed.

Why do you require a 50% deposit?

The deposit secures your spot and covers the time invested in reviewing your intake worksheet and beginning the drafting process. The balance is due at signing. Accepted: all major credit cards, debit cards, Zelle, and check.

What information do I need for the intake form?

Full legal names and dates of birth for family members; home address and contact info; a list of major assets (real estate, bank accounts, investments, retirement accounts, life insurance, business interests); names of people you want as trustees, executors, powers of attorney, and healthcare agents; and your distribution wishes. Exact dollar amounts are not required β€” approximations are fine. Use the Estate Planner tool to organize this before starting.

Can I add children to the trust package?

Yes. Guardianship documents for minor children are available for an additional $250 per child, added to any trust or will package. These include both temporary and permanent guardian appointments, medical power of attorney for the child, HIPAA authorization, and guardian instructions.

Get Started

Your family's protection starts with one step.

California residents can start securely online, meet by phone or Zoom, review drafts electronically, and coordinate original documents without treating every signing as electronic or virtual.
